Belief sourcing and storage for adjustments

All but one of the following controls determine the belief store from which covariances will be taken for all types of adjustment (that is, for the ADJUST: , COHERENCE:  and SCAN:  commands). The exceptions are the ac  and scac  controls, used for storing adjusted covariances. Assume the scenario that the base tex2html_wrap_inline40230 is to be adjusted by tex2html_wrap_inline40232 .

The modelvar  control sets the source for ``different situation'' variances and covariances specified for the elements of tex2html_wrap_inline40232 in the case of exchangeability over tex2html_wrap_inline40232 . The setting of this control is referenced for all exchangeable adjustments, and also for coherence checks carried out using the COHERENCE:  command.

Source for beliefs for the base to be adjusted

  • BD>control  priorvar =I tex2html_wrap_inline33712 where I is an integer representing a valid belief store number.

  • the default source is belief store number tex2html_wrap_inline41838 .

The priorvar  control sets the source for tex2html_wrap_inline36752 , the variances and covariances specified for the elements of tex2html_wrap_inline40230 .

Source for covariance beliefs between two bases

tex2html_wrap_inline33790 tex2html_wrap_inline33790 Usage

  • BD>control  betweenvar =I tex2html_wrap_inline33712 where I is an integer representing a valid belief store number

  • the default source is belief store number tex2html_wrap_inline41838 .

tex2html_wrap_inline33806 tex2html_wrap_inline33806

The betweenvar  control sets the source for tex2html_wrap_inline36756 , the covariances specified between the elements of tex2html_wrap_inline40230 and the elements of tex2html_wrap_inline40232 .

Source for mean plus residual component beliefs

tex2html_wrap_inline33790 tex2html_wrap_inline33790 Usage

  • BD>control  infovar =I tex2html_wrap_inline33712 where I is an integer representing a valid belief store number.

  • the default source is belief store number tex2html_wrap_inline41838 .

tex2html_wrap_inline33806 tex2html_wrap_inline33806

The infovar  control sets the source for ``same situation'' variances and covariances specified for the elements of tex2html_wrap_inline40232 in the case of exchangeability over tex2html_wrap_inline40232 . Whenever the sample size is unity, this always locates the source for tex2html_wrap_inline36754 .

The setting of this control is referenced for all exchangeable adjustments, and also for coherence checks carried out using the COHERENCE:  command.
